As a Marin-based landscape painter, Marc works in studio and en plein air in many inspiring places – the beauty and diversity of Marin County, the Puget Sound in Olympia, WA and the vineyards of Napa Valley. However, the area that’s the most meaningful to him is the Monterey Peninsula – “Painter’s Paradise”. The dramatic light, spectacular beaches and endless beauty is unmatched.

The immediacy of use, luminosity and rich color palette of working with soft pastel allows Marc to express the interplay of light, shadow and values. Composing a scene to help the viewer experience what he sees is very fulfilling to him.
