Art is my way back to myself. It is where I respond to a world gone mad. Painting is physical for me. I paint on board or canvas or paper, with collage, with blocks of rubber I’ve carved, with the written word, crayons and markers and with beautiful papers made on my gelli plate. I paint with my fingers, with brushes, window wipers, old credit cards, sponges and anything that makes a good mark. I make portraits and abstracts, depending on how the instructions flow through me. I am influenced by my earliest days in a family of artists, and by my mindfulness practice, receiving inspiration from the natural world and from the world of Spirit.
