I was born in San Francisco. Following my formal education, I moved to England where I studied sculpture at the Camden Arts Center in London. There, I was fortunate to study with an assistant to HENRY MOORE and spend some time at Mr. Moore’s studio in Much Hadham. After seven years I returned to America and learned the methods of bronze casting through Lost wax as well as studying the fine art of patination. For over ten years I was working on my “Family Series’ which depicts the many emotions we humans possess.I have strived to develop over the years a certain graceful fluidity that is simplistic upon first glance but complicated in it’s more intricate subtleties. My intention in each of my pieces is to evoke an immediate and lasting reaction by the viewer in the same way one relates to a passage of poetry. My bronzes have been shown throughout the SF. Bay area with collectors from Palm Springs to Portland and Los Angeles to London. Along with my sculptures, I am also excited to show my New Paintings of flowers and still life this year at the Marin Open Studios.
