My mission is to explore the relationship between what we see around us and what we experience internally. My work is about translating perceptual states into visual language. I draw my inspiration from the many landscapes I encounter, from the windswept coast of Brittany, where I spent my childhood, to the radiant vistas of California, where I now live. Nature, the Ocean or the flora, are a recurrent element of inspiration for my work. My process involves painting with a range of media (watercolor, acrylic, aerosol and oil paint). While painting, I navigate between abstract expressionism and building the structure of the surface. Throughout my life I have been strongly inspired by painters such as J.M.W Turner, Mark Rothko, G. Richter,Peter Doig and Cecily Brown. With my Art, I aim to spark a connection and offer an experience of positive energy.
