Don’s recent work combines original drawings and watercolors with other digitized imagery of engraved currency and stock certificates. The results are digital collages, layered in Photoshop and presented as original permanent pigment prints (aka: giclée prints ). The use of iconic female imagery combined with currency, pays homage to the contributions of all women to society and to the talented engravers who performed their skills under high magnification. Earlier works include watercolor and oil landscapes, figure and portrait studies. My career is mostly occupied with publication design and art direction, as described below.
