Housed in a log cabin in Tahoe City, the Gatekeeper’s Museum in Tahoe City boasts the largest Native American Basket collection in the Lake Tahoe Basin. It also features new maritime, movie and resort exhibits, along with the Sierra Ski Museum upstairs. The North Lake Tahoe historical Society operates both the Gatekeeper’s Museum and the historic Watson Cabin, which dates back to 1908 and is located about 2 miles away.
